NEXTpin™ printing technology for high-yield microarray fabrication on various types of substrates.
NEXTpin™ increases effective throughput of microarray production 20 to 50 times compare to conventional techniques. It allows parallel deposition of up to 16 clones inside each well of 96-well plates with square shaped wells and 9 clones in the round wells. Each pin serves as a high volume reservoir for a specific sample. A single sample load is sufficient for thousands of spots. Instead of changing the samples after each deposition cycle the entire 16-pin block is quickly replaced with another one preloaded with subsequent 16 samples to print. This makes unnecessary time consuming pin washing and pick-up steps. All existing models of LabNEXT microarrayers can be equipped with the NEXTpin™ module. Custom holders are available for various types of microarray systems of other vendors.
